Feedback
This is where you can view, edit, and create feedback to be used with a grading form when marking.
About
A feedback set is a collection of texts which you can use to easily provide feedback when marking and using a grading form.
They consist of feedback items, a list of texts, that have the following attributes:
Text
(optional*): the text to set as feedback for the studentGroup
(optional): feedback items can be grouped together and displayed per group when listedMark
(optional*): assign a mark which is automatically set as the marking element's mark when selecting the feedback
Multiple texts from a feedback set can be used for a marking element, with each text appended to the previous to make the full feedback text for the student.
* Text
and Mark
are optional in the sense that you can have one without the other, but you need at least one of them - no point having a feedback item with neither.
In other words, you can have the following combinations for a feedback item:
-
With text and with a mark assigned to it
-
With text, but no mark
-
No text, but with a mark - if you want to simply have an item for awarding marks without feedback
Create new feedback set
To create a new feedback set, enter a name for it and click Create.
Create feedback item
You are then directed to the newly created feedback set, where you can add the feedback items by clicking on the Edit items button.
Enter the required information for the feedback item - e.g.
Try to use text which ends with (correct) punctuation!
When you use multiple feedback items for the full feedback, the text from each feedback item is appended to the existing feedback text with an added leading blank space.
Edit feedback item
Go to the Edit feedback items page and click on the Edit button for the feedback item you want to edit.
As with adding a new item, edit the information as required.
